Infant / Toddler Teacher St. Philip Preschool St. Philip Preschool is looking for a loving, dependable, and energetic Infant / Toddler Teacher to join our preschool family! We provide a warm, nurturing, Christian, child-centered environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, explore, and develop through meaningful play and positive relationships. Our teachers play an important role in creating a safe and loving environment where our youngest children feel secure, valued, and cared for each day. St. Philip Preschool serves children 6 weeks through 5 years of age , and we are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of these early developmental years. Responsibilities Provide loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants and toddlers throughout the day Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children can explore and learn Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities that support each child's development Encourage language, cognitive, social-emotional, fine motor, and gross motor development through everyday experiences Engage children through music, movement, books, sensory experiences, art, outdoor play, and hands-on learning Follow individual feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules as appropriate for each child's age and developmental needs Maintain active supervision at all times and follow all classroom and transition safety procedures Build positive, caring relationships with children and help them feel safe and secure Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding their child's day, development, milestones, and needs Work cooperatively with co-teachers, administration, and other staff members Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom Follow all St. Philip Preschool policies and procedures as well as Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards Complete required documentation, including attendance, daily care information, incident reports, and other classroom records Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and school events Qualifications Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, or in a childcare setting is preferred A genuine love for children and a desire to help them learn and grow Patient, nurturing, dependable, and positive Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, lifting children, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities Willingness to learn and follow St. Philip Preschool policies, procedures, curriculum expectations, and safety practices Must meet all Texas Child Care Licensing requirements, including required background checks and training CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training may be required upon employment Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
