Floater & School-Age Teacher / Driver Monday-Friday | 9:30 AM-6:30 PM | Full-Time Shining Stars Academy is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring teacher to join our team in a unique full-time role that combines classroom support with our school-age program. About the Position This position has two important parts to the day: 9:30 AM-2:30 PM | Floater Teacher You'll support classrooms throughout the center where needed, helping teachers maintain safe ratios, engaging with children, assisting with routines and activities, and keeping classrooms running smoothly. 2:30 PM-6:30 PM | School-Age Teacher & Driver In the afternoon, you'll drive our school van to pick up elementary-aged students from local schools and safely transport them back to Shining Stars Academy. Once back at the center, you'll help supervise and engage our school-age students until family pickup. Because this position is responsible for transporting children, applicants must be at least 25 years old and have a valid driver's license. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is reliable, patient, professional, and genuinely enjoys working with children. This role is especially important to our daily operations, so consistent attendance and punctuality are a must.

Applicants must:

Be 25 years of age or older Have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a school van Be available to work 9:30 AM-6:30 PM, Monday through Friday Have a high school diploma or GED Pass all required background checks and clearances Obtain/maintain CPR and First Aid certification as required Be dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. throughout the day Follow Texas child care licensing requirements and Shining Stars Academy policies and procedures Maintain professionalism with children, families, coworkers, and school staff Be flexible and comfortable supporting multiple classrooms and age groups Bring positive energy, patience, and a team-first attitude to work each day What You'll Do As part of our team, you will: Provide children with a safe, loving, clean, nurturing, and engaging environment Support classrooms and teachers throughout the center as needed Safely pick up and transport elementary-aged children from local schools Supervise and engage school-age children during the afternoon program Build positive relationships with children and families Assist with classroom routines, meals, cleaning, diapering, and other caregiving responsibilities when assigned to younger classrooms Help implement lesson plans and age-appropriate educational activities Document children's activities and provide families with appropriate updates Maintain active supervision and follow all safety procedures Participate in required training and professional development Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and help create an environment where children and coworkers can thrive Why Shining Stars Academy?
