In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes learning, social-emotional growth, and physical development. Duties Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of children, including toddlers and preschoolers. Facilitate engaging activities that promote literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards. Manage classroom environments effectively by applying classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices. Experience working directly with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing age-appropriate activities that foster learning across multiple domains such as literacy, math, and physical education. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and collaboration with team members. Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management techniques and behavior management skills. Familiarity with standardized testing methods used in early childhood education to assess developmental progress. Ability to work with children requiring special education or additional support services such as early intervention programs. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare issues. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development is preferred.
