Child Care Teacher Building Blocks Academy Vidor, TX Job Details Full-time From $9 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Childcare High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Must be 18 years old, have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Texas Drivers License, and be able to pass extensive background check. Must have a passion for young children, and have great patience dealing with children. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds as well as sit on the floor with the children. Should be flexible and willing to work any age group as well as any hours needed between 6:30am-6pm Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress and communicate with parents or guardians.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education and implement them in the classroom.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding in interactions with children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care at all times.
