Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Childcare Teacher to inspire and nurture young children in a early childhood education environment. Duties Develop and implement creative curriculum plans tailored to various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable Facilitate engaging lessons that promote child development, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health guidelines, first aid protocols, and mandated reporting laws Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, developmental assessments, and standardized testing results when applicable Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that supports special education needs and childhood development instruction Requirements Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings with classroom experience in early childhood education Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and child welfare practices Familiarity with special education principles, early intervention techniques, and literacy education strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child safety is preferred Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child development milestones Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to preschool teaching excellence Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education standards such as Montessori or other recognized frameworks Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
Pay:
$12.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
