Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships. Conduct assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student activities and incidents. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and special education initiatives such as early intervention programs. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating understanding of childhood development principles. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and Montessori or other educational philosophies like standardized testing or preschool teaching methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to implement child welfare standards including first aid and CPR certification. Experience in teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom safety protocols to create an optimal learning environment.
