Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and social interaction among children. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to create a respectful and supportive environment. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and early intervention techniques. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and secure childcare setting. Coordinate assessments such as standardized testing or developmental screenings to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Support children with special needs by implementing individualized plans for early intervention and inclusive education practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by participating in professional development opportunities related to childhood development, literacy education, and Montessori pedagogy. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Proven experience in preschool teaching or classroom management within daycare or private school settings. Expertise in curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and special education. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood programs. Experience working with children with diverse needs through early intervention programs or special education services. Knowledge of Montessori methods and toddler care practices is highly desirable.
