Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Monitors and maintains related service programming in accordance with children's Individual Treatment Plan, provides related staff training, serves as teaching supervisor in assigned classrooms, and delivers special education services to children in accordance with their Individual Treatment Plan. Works collaboratively with school districts to provide and maintain educational programming services according to a child's Individual Education Plan.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides developmentally appropriate interaction and activities for each child (directly or indirectly by supervision) according to the child's Individual Treatment Plan (ITP). Attends and participates in evaluation and multidisciplinary conferences and is available to meet with families as needed. Works directly with classroom staff to implement, update and maintain each child's ITP. Keeps accurate and timely documentation of educational treatment sessions according to the Individual Education Plans (IEP). Supervises, maintains, and monitors Conscious Discipline in classrooms. Collaborates with professionals in the implementation of STAR, PECS, etc. Provides administration with updated credentials and related licensure documentation as needed. Participate willingly in all duties assigned to ensure the highest standard of care for all children at Archild. Responsible for ensuring classrooms have all skill materials; coordinates with Education Coordinator as needed. Develops and monitors with implementation of behavior plans in assigned classrooms. Collaboratives with other team members as needed. Administers and interprets developmental evaluations, using appropriate protocols in compliance with funding, EIDT and Early Childhood guidelines and as required for determining eligibility for services, in the absence of the ECDS-Licensed General Education Teacher. Generates evaluation reports and creates related Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) including goals and objectives, including additional programming, following Archild guidelines, in the absence of the ECDS-Licensed General Education Teacher. Serves as an active member of an interdisciplinary team, providing evaluations and treatment plans within the required timelines necessary to develop the child's ITP, in the absence of the ECDS-Licensed General Education Teacher. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BSE in Early Childhood Education or a bachelor's degree and has at least one (1) of the following: Current Certification in Arkansas For Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education, current child development associate's certificate, current birth to pre-K credential, or documented experience working with children with special needs and twelve (12) hours of completed college courses in early childhood, child development, special education, elementary education, or child and family studies required.
