In this engaging full-time contract opportunity, you'll serve as a Special Education Teacher, working closely with paraeducator support in a collaborative classroom environment. This position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, allowing you to make a lasting difference in students' lives.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Connecticut State Certificate for Special Education Teaching Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, with strong instructional skills Ability to seamlessly collaborate with paraeducators and support staff Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data-driven instruction Strong communication capabilities with students, families, and team members Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and targeted interventions aligned with students' IEPs Work hand-in-hand with a paraeducator in the classroom to maximize individualized learning Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needs Monitor, track, and report on student progress; participate in IEP meetings Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment Engage with parents, guardians, and other professionals to support student outcomes Enjoy competitive pay, with hourly compensation ranging from $40 to $45, and access to comprehensive benefits designed to support your wellbeing.
