Middle School Special Education Teacher - Stamford, CT Amergis Educational Staffing - 3.5 Rocky Hill, CT Job Details Full-time $52 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Middle school teaching Student progress monitoring Special education for middle school students Student behavioral support Academic IEP goal implementation Family collaboration in education Experience teaching special education in resource rooms Student support planning Mid-level Small group instruction Collaborative curriculum development Data collection for student progress in special education IEP progress monitoring Parent communication in school administration Special education record keeping Collaborative teaching Classroom community building Student progress notes Adaptive instruction Full Job Description Provide special education services for middle school students through a combination of resource support and co-teaching classroom models. Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum, adapt instructional materials, and implement accommodations to support student success. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members. Support students in accessing the general education curriculum while promoting independence and academic achievement. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other collaborative school-based activities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. Full-time, Monday through Friday school schedule. Interviews are being scheduled immediately for an ASAP placement.
