Qualifications and Skills:
Illinois professional educator license with LBS1 endorsement required Experience or certification in special education preferred Strong knowledge of IEP processes and development Excellent collaboration and communication skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies for various learning abilities Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education programs for students with disabilities Modify curriculum and create accessible learning materials Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to integrate students Utilize evidence-based strategies to improve academic achievement and social development Monitor progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with state and federal regulations Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Participate in IEP meetings and maintain regular communication with parents/guardians Uphold a safe, supportive classroom climate
