Required Qualifications:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, including IEP development and implementation Familiarity with working in self-contained settings or similar caseloads preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with colleagues, families, and support staff Ability to attend on-site or virtual interviews as needed Fingerprinting and district onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse needs, adapting lessons to meet IEP objectives Monitor student progress and document outcomes, ensuring compliance with district and state guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in ongoing assessment, team meetings, and IEP planning Communicate regularly with parents, providing insight on student growth and strategies for continued success Maintain an organized, safe, and positive classroom environment Complete required administrative tasks, including data entry and preparation for meetings
