This opportunity allows you to work collaboratively with educators and families to ensure students with hearing differences thrive both academically and socially.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current certification or licensure to teach students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience supporting K-12 learners in educational settings Strong knowledge of current instructional techniques and technology for DHH students Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and understanding of Deaf culture Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative services to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across school sites Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Support general education staff through training, resources, and consultation to promote inclusive classrooms Foster self-advocacy, communication, and social skills in students Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student progress Facilitate access to assistive technology and classroom accommodations Engage families in the educational process and support strong school-home connections
