Two's Teacher American Child Preschool and Child Care - 5.0 Shreveport, LA Job Details Full-time $10 - $12 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Qualifications Teamwork Autism Spectrum Disorder (early childhood general education) Cleaning Child Development Associate Certification Early Childhood Education Full Job Description American Child is looking for a 2's teacher, preferably with their CDA (or other degree) and experience with two year olds to join our staff of childcare professionals. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who try to understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who are able to use their creativity and curriculum guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. We have a strong emphasis on Early Childhood Education and want someone to join our team who also holds Early Childhood Education in high regard.
Responsibilities will be:
Meet the individual needs of the children. Keep children safe, happy and clean at all times. Reinforce potty training. Develop lesson plans. Participate in staff and training meetings. Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning. Present expectations that are appropriate to the children's age and developmental level. Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills. Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. Build teamwork. Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (will receive training) Use Teaching Strategies Gold (will receive training) Be observed by state representatives using the CLASS tool (will receive training) Be committed to continuing education.
