Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Demonstrated experience working with K-2 students, preferably in a special education setting Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Creative problem-solving and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-2 students Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure accommodations and modifications are consistently provided Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to students' individual needs Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals, maintaining thorough and confidential records Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and behavioral progress Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school team initiatives Support students in achieving both academic and social-emotional growth
