This full-time, contract opportunity offers you the chance to foster both academic and personal growth in students who need it most.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education certification (282) eligible for grades B-age 5, K-8, or 7-12. Proven experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting. Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborative spirit, able to work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families. Effective communication and adaptability to tailor instruction for diverse learning styles. Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting learners with a variety of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction, interventions, and academic support to elementary students with disabilities. Design, review, and update IEPs in consultation with students, families, and educational professionals. Track student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records. Adapt curriculum and classroom environments to accommodate individual learning needs. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives.
