Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades 9-12 at a welcoming community school. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with passionate educators while helping students with unique learning needs thrive. Taking place from late August through early June, you'll work on-site during steady weekday hours, ensuring ample time to connect with your students and fellow staff.

Key Qualifications:

Current Minnesota Special Education teaching license in EBD, ASD, or ABS required Experience supporting at-risk youth, especially those in high school settings Strong background in behavior support and intervention strategies Genuine team player with excellent collaboration skills Ability to adapt and support a variety of learning needs Will consider candidates eligible for

Out of Field Licensure Placement Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a supportive classroom environment Use evidence-based practices for behavior management and academic support Work closely with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure consistent communication and holistic student support Document progress, complete reports, and participate in regular team meetings Nurture student growth and independence while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom
