This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a close-knit group of 15-20 students. The role spans two elementary schools, with half of each workday assigned to each site, providing variety and an expanded support network. Position is available for immediate start and continues through winter break, with potential for further extension if permanent hiring remains open.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current teaching license with Special Education endorsement Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to diverse student needs Strong collaboration skills to work alongside general education staff and support services Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment Commitment to adaptive instruction and differentiated learning
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct and support a caseload of 15-20 elementary students across two schools Split time evenly—half days—between both locations each week Create, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Develop and modify lesson plans to accommodate varying learning abilities Collect and analyze student data to guide instructional strategies Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
