Key Qualifications:
Hold current 461 (Moderate to Severe) Special Education Teacher certification Expertise in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for students with moderate to severe disabilities Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and tracking progress on IEPs and 504 Plans Strong collaboration skills for effective partnerships with support staff, parents, and administrators Exceptional communication and organization skills to manage a varied caseload A commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support for a caseload of 22 students on IEPs and 28 students on 504 Plans Assess individual student abilities, create tailored educational plans, and monitor student progress Modify lessons and activities to meet accommodations and goals outlined in each student's plan Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all students' needs are addressed Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP/504 meetings Contribute to a classroom atmosphere that promotes growth, achievement, and self-advocacy skills In this position, you'll make a difference every day by guiding students academically, socially, and emotionally, while working a consistent 40-hour workweek.
