Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students' growth and learning in a welcoming school environment near Wilmington, VT. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility pending) Bachelors degree (minimum) in Special Education or a related field Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and faculty Classroom management skills and the ability to adapt lessons to various learning styles Experience with diverse student populations, including those with mild to moderate disabilities, is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success Document student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed Utilize specialized instructional techniques and resources to meet diverse needs Create an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social development Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely with a passionate team committed to educational excellence.
