Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Early Childhood Endorsement, or eligibility for a provisional license in special education Experience with early childhood SPED strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills A passion for supporting diverse learners and their families
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized specialized instruction and services to early childhood students based on IEP objectives Travel between 3-4 school sites as part of the itinerant assignment Assess, monitor, and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments Consult with families to share progress, strategies, and resources Adapt instructional approaches to address varying student needs Maintain accurate records and provide updates for meetings and evaluations This role offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a supportive team and the flexibility to accommodate part-time options as needed. Caseload may increase throughout the school year, providing varied and rewarding experiences.
