Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Respite Caregiver dedicated to supporting children with special needs. In this vital role, you will provide temporary relief for families and primary caregivers, ensuring children receive attentive, personalized care in a safe and nurturing environment. Your energetic and positive approach will help create a comfortable space where children can thrive, while giving families the peace of mind they deserve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and other health conditions requiring specialized care. Currently hiring for after school, early evening and weekend hours. Experience/Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs is advantageous. CPR certification is mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and their families while maintaining professionalism under HIPAA regulations.
