Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision when the regular teacher is absent. The substitute maintains a safe, respectful, and faith-centered learning environment while following the lesson plans, policies, and expectations of the school.
Job Responsibilities Follow the lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher. Provide instruction and support students in completing assigned work. Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment. Supervise students and enforce school policies and classroom expectations. Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through respectful conduct and interactions. Encourage students to demonstrate Christian values such as respect, compassion, honesty, responsibility, and service. Take attendance and communicate important classroom information to the regular teacher. Maintain appropriate classroom routines and procedures. Report significant student behavior, concerns, or incidents to the appropriate school administrator. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration. Job Requirements Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and work positively with students, faculty, staff Able to support all grade levels
