In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help provide a warm and nurturing environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. Whether assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, or collaborating with educators and parents, your contribution will be vital to our mission of supporting young children's growth and success. Duties Working with Children Engage and encourage children throughout daily activities. Help maintain a safe, inviting, and stimulating classroom. Foster independence through warm, consistent guidance. Support positive behavior using age-appropriate, consistent approaches. Promote social and learning skills, including during mealtimes. Set an example by keeping the space clean and organized through regular housekeeping. Communication & Collaboration Assist lead teachers with observations and insights on each child. Assist with classroom record-keeping. Communicate warmly and clearly with parents and confidently answer questions about the program. Build a collaborative, supportive team culture and maintain a professional, positive attitude. Professionalism & Compliance Attend staff meetings and complete required annual trainings. Follow all program policies, health/safety regulations, and emergency procedures. Report any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. Take on additional duties as needed to support the program. Skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators to create a supportive learning environment. Ability to relate to children and colleagues with empathy, stability and emotional maturity. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and staff in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to supervise children responsibly while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for teaching young learners. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 40.0 per week
