Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Assistant Teacher, Floater, or Substitute! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and ensure each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Whether assisting in a specific classroom or stepping in as a substitute, your energy and dedication will help create a positive learning experience for young learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while collaborating with experienced educators to promote growth, curiosity, and confidence. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and positive behavior. Foster inclusive learning environments by working effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with special needs or disabilities. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and classroom events to build strong partnerships. Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and support curriculum delivery. Maintain compliance with educational regulations such as Step up to Quality and Ohio Child Care Licensing and uphold safety standards through first aid and CPR certification. Collaborate with teachers on behavior management strategies and classroom organization to promote optimal learning outcomes. Experience Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred, but not required. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom behavior management, and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with teaching literacy, math concepts, and tutoring techniques tailored for early learners. Strong communication skills for effective parent interactions and team collaboration. Proven ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or teaching are advantageous. Join us in shaping bright futures! Pay:
$12.25 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 - 40.0 per week
