Knox County Head Start About Knox County Head Start:
Knox County Head Start (KCHS) is a leading provider of quality early childhood education in our community. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the holistic development of young minds. We are currently searching for a Teacher Aide Floater who will primarily work in the Infant/Toddler classroom at our Northgate Center.
Position Overview:
As a Teacher Aide Floater, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dedicated teaching staff in providing a stimulating and engaging learning environment for children enrolled in our program. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone who has a genuine love for children and is eager to kickstart a rewarding career in Early Childhood Education.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and engaging educational activities Support individual and group activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff Provide one-on-one attention to young children, including children with special needs, as required Provide daily care for infants and toddlers including feeding, diapering, and toilet training Participate in classroom setup, cleanup, and maintenance Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a well-organized and welcoming learning environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; experience or training in Early Childhood Education is a plus Passion for working with children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting Previous experience working with children, whether in a formal or informal setting, is beneficial but not required
