The UVU Exercise Science department is seeking a Student Instructional Assistant for

EXSC 2500.

Class meets MWF at 9-9:50am, and TR at 11:30-12:45pm.

• Assist in conducting and managing laboratory activities related to sports medicine.
• Provide support during in-class activities, including splinting, taping, modalities, monitoring vitals, instructional support, etc.
• Help students understand and execute test protocols accurately and safely.
• Engage in objective grading of assignments and laboratory practical assessments.
• Conduct meetings with students to assist them in completing their final projects, offering guidance, and clarifying course material as needed.
• Collaborate with the course instructor to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and ethical standards in the laboratory.

Must be a Current UVU student. The student must have completed the UVU course

ESXC 2500.

The student will assist the professor with grading and laboratory work.

• Strong foundation in sports medicine testing and principles
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly with the equipment used throughout sports medicine, is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff members.
