Boise, ID Job Details Full-time $20 - $21 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Youth programs teaching experience Volunteer management Schedule management Working with students Recruiting Working with youth Time management Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Education Program and Services Liaison to serve as a vital connector. The Education and Services Liaison with Life's Kitchen is responsible for recruiting employer partners for the program to teach classes, host job shadows and ultimately hire LK students and graduates. In addition, they will assist with case management of current trainees and alumni, assist the Education Director in coordinating life-skill instructors and volunteers and co-facilitate life skills classes. In collaboration with the Education Director, ensure a superior and meaningful learning experience for trainees by: Coordinating volunteer instructor-led life-skill sessions while ensuring a superior learning experience for trainees Coaching trainees and checking for understanding of life skills through weekly student review sessions. Creating, monitoring and adjusting--with the culinary team--the policies for assessing, recording and reporting on trainee achievement, and using these collaborative standards to set achievable targets for further trainee improvement. Improve staff team cohesion and assist with staff development by: Actively participating at all staff meetings. Effectively communicating with all staff and trainees. Working collaboratively within team in order to accomplish team goals. Leading special projects as assigned by the Program Director Performing other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Culinary industry experience preferred
- Teaching experience with opportunity youth
Experience:
- Strong preference of experience in 1 year leading in a teaching or training environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Ability to uplift and motivate challenging trainees with positivity
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills, including the ability to interact with entry level trainees to executive community supporters.
- Very strong organizational and time management skills.
