Overview Join our dynamic and vibrant culinary education team as a Chef Instructor at our renowned Cooking School! In this exciting role, you will inspire aspiring chefs, hobbyists, and young learners by sharing your culinary expertise and passion for food. Your energetic approach will foster a lively learning environment where students of all ages can develop their cooking skills, explore diverse cuisines, and build confidence in the kitchen. As a key educator, you will design engaging lessons that combine practical cooking techniques with creative expression, ensuring every class is an inspiring experience. Duties Develop and perform comprehensive curriculum/menu plans that incorporate fundamental cooking skills, culinary techniques, and creative recipe development tailored to different age groups and skill levels Lead hands-on cooking classes for children, teens, and adults, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and learning Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining safety standards and promoting respectful behavior among students of all backgrounds Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and address specific skill development needs Incorporate multimedia tools and techniques to enhance lesson engagement and storytelling around food Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative lesson plans that integrate culinary development principles, education strategies, and special education accommodations when necessary Qualifications Proven experience in culinary arts with a strong background in cooking techniques and recipe creation Prior classroom experience or teaching background in culinary education, early childhood education, or adult learning environments is preferred but can be taught Excellent management skills with the ability to motivate students of varying ages and skill levels Strong communication skills to effectively teach, demonstrate techniques, and provide constructive feedback Knowledge of curriculum/ menu development tailored for different age groups including children, special needs, and/or adult learners Familiarity with photography for food presentation or promotional purposes is a plus Experience working with children settings is highly desirable Join us in shaping the next generation of food enthusiasts!
