Linn Engineering & Design, Inc. is a dynamic and growing design and construction management firm serving both residential and commercial sectors. We provide comprehensive services—from conceptual design through construction management—both in-house and through a strong network of industry professionals. Our projects range from custom homes and additions to restaurant and retail build-outs. We're looking for a self-driven designer who wants more than just a job—someone who's ready to take ownership, think like an entrepreneur, and grow alongside a company that values initiative and innovation. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who's motivated by autonomy, thrives on variety, and wants to have a direct hand in shaping a project from start to finish. This position is 100% in-office and not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements
What You'll Do:
Lead the design process for commercial and residential projects—from early concepts through to permit-ready construction documents. Manage your own client projects, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate with engineers, drafters, and administrative staff. Research materials, codes, and regulations to ensure full compliance. Maintain and refine CAD files and structural drawings for use in ongoing design. Independently create and refine standard details as needed. Help improve systems and processes as the company grows—your voice matters here.
What We're Looking For:
    Mandatory:
    3+ years of hands-on AutoCAD experience in architecture, drafting, or design Solid grasp of construction techniques, materials, and building code standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Strong communication and organization skills Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or related field (preferred) Valid driver's license and dependable transportation (required daily) Entrepreneurial mindset: You want to own your work and see the impact
