    Role:
    Establish and optimize safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes for VulcanForms? Medical business. Support cross-functional NPI teams in developing, sampling, and launching new products, with a focus on taking printed parts from post-print processing through finished product. Provide technical leadership for post-processing operations, tooling, equipment, suppliers, and Production teams while meeting quality, cost, capacity, and customer requirements.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Define and support post-processing operations, including machining, blasting, deburring, cleaning, and heat treating
    • Translate product designs and requirements into robust, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes
    • Oversee implementation of manufacturing processes with in-house technicians and external suppliers
    • Coordinate machine setup and process validation while maintaining technical ownership
    • Define functional requirements for tooling, fixturing, and post-processing equipment
    • Identify automation and capital-investment opportunities to improve productivity
    • Partner with suppliers to deliver, implement, test, and validate reliable tooling and equipment solutions
    • Write and maintain work instructions, SOPs, validation plans, and process documentation
    • Lead Installation Qualifications (IQ) and support Quality Control and Quality Engineering with Operational and Performance Qualifications (OQ/PQ)
    • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and regulatory requirements
    • Participate in NPI activities and contribute to design-for-manufacturability decisions
    • Collaborate with Design, Quality, Production, and Manufacturing teams to align cost, capability, and scalability
    • Define takt time, throughput targets, equipment, labor, space, manufacturing costs, and time standards
    • Work with HSSE to assess risks and ensure equipment and processes meet safety and ergonomic standards
    • Drive scrap reduction and cost savings through root cause analysis, Lean tools, and data-driven decision-making
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
    • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on post-processing methods, such as machining, blasting, or fixturing
    • Hands-on experience developing and scaling production processes
    • Proficiency with process qualification tools and methods, including PFMEA, DOE, and
    IQ/OQ/PQ
    • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with suppliers, technicians, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
    • Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, validation plans, and other process documentation
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
    Preferred:
    • Experience with metal additive manufacturing and transitioning printed parts into finished products
    • Familiarity with post-processing techniques, GD&T, and tooling design
    • Experience in regulated or quality-controlled environments, such as medical device or aerospace manufacturing
    • Experience qualifying equipment or automated processes
    • Exposure to ERP/MES systems, manufacturing data tools, and safety or ergonomic assessments
    Compensation:
    • \$106,500
    • \$146,000/year
    • Actual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
