Growing manufacturing operation supporting life sciences and industrial markets. Hands-on role driving process optimization and manufacturing improvements. About Our Client Our client is a global manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products serving regulated and mission-critical industries. The organization is investing in manufacturing growth and operational excellence, offering engineers the opportunity to drive process improvements, support new product introductions, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies within a collaborative environment Job Description Lead manufacturing process improvement initiatives across assembly, extrusion, molding, and related production operations. Standardize tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes across multiple facilities and global teams. Develop and execute capital equipment projects that support production expansion and operational growth. Partner with production teams to improve product quality, productivity, throughput, and manufacturing performance. Create and maintain process controls, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation to reduce scrap, rework, and waste. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies. Support new product introduction activities and ensure manufacturing readiness for product launches. Design and improve assembly equipment with a strong focus on safety and ergonomics. Specify, source, and validate production tooling, fixtures, gauges, and assembly aids. Provide troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions for manufacturing equipment and production processes. Investigate production issues, customer concerns, and quality trends while implementing long-term solutions. Support engineering change processes and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience within plastics, polymer, or advanced materials manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience with extrusion, compounding, or related polymer processing technologies. Strong understanding of process development, scale-up, manufacturing optimization, and statistical process control. Experience using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Knowledge of tooling design, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and process validation methodologies. Experience supporting cost modeling, quoting, and manufacturing planning is highly desirable. Strong project management and technical leadership capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams What's on Offer Competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience.
