On-site Position Overview We are seeking an early-career Project Engineer to support large-scale, complex construction projects in the Sparks/Reno area. This position works on the owner's side of construction and supports Construction Managers and senior project leadership. The Project Engineer helps keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward by tracking RFIs, submittals, decisions, action items, equipment requirements, project risks, and turnover activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with general contractor experience who wants to transition to the owner's side and continue developing their construction career. Key Responsibilities Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence. Track project decisions, open action items, design clarifications, and commitments through completion. Log, route, and track RFIs and submittals requiring owner review or action. Prepare and maintain project reports, trackers, and status logs. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project stakeholders. Capture meeting notes, document responsibilities, and follow up on outstanding items. Support tracking of long-lead equipment, procurement activities, and owner-furnished equipment. Assist with commissioning readiness, project turnover, and closeout activities. Identify missing information, overdue commitments, and emerging project risks. Communicate project status, blockers, and questions clearly to project leadership. Required Qualifications 0-4 years of construction, project engineering, project controls, or related project experience. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through. Familiarity with Procore or comparable construction/project-management software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Comfortable working in an onsite construction environment. Preferred Qualifications Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree highly preferred. General contractor experience, particularly candidates interested in transitioning to the owner's side. Experience supporting large-scale industrial or infrastructure construction. Data center or mission-critical construction experience. Oil and gas construction experience. Exposure to RFIs, submittals, procurement, commissioning, turnover, or project closeout. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Location This position supports large-scale construction projects in the Sparks/Reno, Nevada area and requires regular onsite presence.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
