Steel Detailer to join our innovative fabrication and installation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating precise structural steel shop drawings, developing detailed erection drawings, and ensuring building code compliance across a variety of projects. Your expertise will help transform conceptual ideas into tangible, safe, and efficient structures. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to contribute to impactful construction and architectural projects while honing their skills in cutting-edge CAD and BIM tools. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive structural and misc. steel shop drawings using advanced CAD BIM software such as Tekla Structures, and Solid Works.
- Create detailed construction documentation, including schematics, assembly details, and construction details that adhere to project specifications and building codes.
- Utilize 3D modeling software like Tekla Structures and SolidWorks to visualize structures and facilitate accurate design communication.
- Create machine files using Tekla and SolidWorks for laser cutting
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to refine design concepts and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Apply building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery and coordination across disciplines.
- Aid in design and detail drawing of misc. steel for stairs, handrails, platforms, hoppers, silos, architectural metals, stainless steel and aluminum construction Qualifications
- 5 plus years of proven detailing experience using software including Tekla Structures and SolidWorks
- Strong skills in 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools for accurate design development.
- Knowledge of construction detail documentation and construction experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with building code compliance, stair codes, welding codes, and stainless and aluminum architectural metals.
- Proficiency in graphic design principles to enhance visual communication of complex structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications clearly.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams on fast-paced projects.
