To apply for any of the below positions, please submit your resume and cover letter to: Do you have experience creating highly detailed and precise manufacturing shop drawings from architectural plans and specifications? Are you someone who understands not just how to draw a project, but how it needs to be built, assembled, and installed? We are looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to join our collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial architectural millwork who enjoys working through the details, solving problems, and collaborating with estimators, project managers, production, and field teams to bring complex designs from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities Utilize AutoCAD and Microvellum to develop highly detailed, accurate, and fabrication-ready manufacturing shop drawings from architectural plans, specifications, and design documents. Interpret architectural drawings and specifications and translate design intent into practical, manufacturable millwork solutions. Develop detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, assembly drawings, elevations, sections, details, and related documentation required for production. Create and maintain accurate 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Microvellum. Work closely with estimators, project managers, production personnel, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential design, constructability, material, and installation issues early and work collaboratively to develop solutions. Coordinate drawings with architectural requirements, field conditions, hardware, materials, and other trades as needed. Incorporate project revisions and maintain accurate drawing sets throughout the production process. Support the transition of projects from estimating and design through manufacturing, assembly, and installation. Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect project requirements and can be efficiently executed in the shop. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in commercial architectural millwork, casework, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microvellum. Proven ability to create detailed and precise manufacturing/shop drawings from architectural plans and specifications. Strong understanding of architectural millwork construction, woodworking materials, hardware, joinery, and manufacturing methods. Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications. Understanding of how millwork is constructed, fabricated, assembled, and installed. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify constructability issues and develop practical solutions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, estimators, production teams, and field personnel. Ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
