About the Role As a Metrology Calibration Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical authority for mechanical measurement integrity, ensuring all instrumentation meets rigorous quality and regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational precision by managing calibration lifecycles, optimizing documentation workflows, and providing expert support during technical audits. Responsibilities Coordinate and execute precise mechanical calibrations for both in-lab and on-site equipment to ensure full traceability. Develop and refine technical calibration procedures using industry-standard software to improve measurement accuracy and efficiency. Manage external vendor relationships, overseeing service quality and turnaround times for outsourced calibration tasks. Maintain comprehensive compliance records within calibration management systems to satisfy ISO/IEC 17025 and
ANSI/NCSL Z540
requirements. Generate actionable performance reports and KPIs to provide management with visibility into instrument status and process health. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical discrepancies and drive continuous process improvements. Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement for calibration tools and essential service contracts. Qualifications Required Skills 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical metrology or calibration. Deep technical proficiency with a wide range of mechanical measurement tools, including CMMs, torque devices, and various precision gages. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically for data analysis and technical documentation. Proven ability to communicate complex technical data to auditors and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience managing calibration databases and digital record-keeping systems. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Metrology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Certification as an ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT). Direct experience with Fluke MET/CAL, MET/TEAM, and Crystal Reports. Background in
