This position works a 4 day work-week, Monday
Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Equipment Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team.
The Senior Equipment Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on semiconductor type processing equipment in a class 100 clean room environment. Participates with the technical and production staff in maintaining adequate reliability and up-time. Brings equipment upgrade recommendations and improvement ideas as part of their role to enhance and vitalize the production line equipment capabilities.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform complex maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Support and maintain automated wafer handling systems/robotics.
Ability to understand and navigate process equipment software in order to operate and troubleshoot equipment problems.
Troubleshoot a variety of tools for electrical, mechanical, or vacuum issues and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Brings forward alternative solutions to problems.
Communicates and coordinates to ensure production requirements can be achieved.
Identifies maintenance repair parts.
Assists in maintaining sufficient parts inventory.
Learns and follows all safety policies and chemical handling guidelines.
Work as part of a team with other technicians and vendors to update schematics, install retrofits and upgrades.
Research technical information/specifications in equipment manuals.
Be professional and comfortable interacting with vendors on the phone when challenges escalate to that level.
Replace worn components before mechanical breakdown occurs.
Document preventive maintenance actions and repair actions on maintenance logs.
Work with technical and production staff to improve equipment performance.
Develop spare parts inventory system.
Define components of all systems in use.
Develop an inventory/reorder point of all critical parts.
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Interact as a team member striving for excellence and works in a proactive and collaborative manner.
Always seek opportunities for process improvements. Research solutions and alternatives, as necessary.
Define content of and write instructions/procedures for equipment preventative maintenance as required.
Support new technology/equipment implementation.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
As a defense contractor we are subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card holder) to be considered for this position.
High School diploma or equivalent, with some college experience, associate's degree preferred.
Must have a strong electro-mechanical background: o Equipment maintenance o Electrical knowledge o Mechanical knowledge o Computer knowledge (for example, software update, replacing computers or computer components)
3-5 years of equipment maintenance experience in semi-conductor manufacturing industry.
Excellent documentation skills required.
Previous experience in a clean room environment preferred.
Hands on experience troubleshooting.
Responsible for maintenance in the Fab/Test floor production areas.
Must be willing to work with chemicals and hazardous waste control.
Must be familiar with working with various hand tools and test equipment, such as digital multimeters, power supplies, RF power sources, etc.
Must be able to work collaboratively with others to solve problems.
Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted, climb a ladder, kneel, squat, use power and hand-tools, gown according to clean room protocol, work in confined spaces.
