Job Description
Job Description An Industrial Engineering company specializing in mechanical and control systems commissioning and decommissioning is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team in Aurora, CO. As a Controls Engineer, you will Program PLCs (usually Rockwell/RS Logix 5000 + RS Factory Talk) for conveyors, sortation, and materials handling equipment for various clients within shipping and air travel industries. This includes VFDs and Graphical touchscreens. You may be trained to design industrial control panels using AutoCAD to be built by the panel shop.
The company is well established and continually growing in a recession proof industry. The position is a 6 Month Contract to Hire (will go permanent after 6 months with room for advancement). A federal background check and drug test are required upon an offer being extended. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's Degree heavily preferred3+ years engineering experience troubleshooting and/or commissioning commercial conveyer, material handling, sortation, or similar equipment5+ years' experience programming PLC/HMI from (concept to completion OR canned logic is ok if involved as a systems integrator)3+ years AutoCAD design experience for industrial control panelsRockwell Automation - RS Logix 5000, RS Factory Talk View (Graphics package) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
