ABOUT ATLANTIC DESIGN ENGINEERS
Atlantic Design Engineers, Inc. is a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm serving clients throughout Massachusetts and southern New England. Our work includes civil/site engineering, land development, land surveying, environmental consulting, permitting, renewable-energy development, and construction-related engineering services. Our Sagamore office is located near the Cape Cod Canal and Sagamore Bridge, providing convenient access from Plymouth County, the South Shore, southeastern Massachusetts, and Cape Cod. Atlantic offers experienced engineers an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of projects, work directly with clients and regulatory agencies, and develop substantial project-management responsibility within a collaborative professional environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Atlantic is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our civil engineering group. This position is intended for a civil engineer with at least five years of relevant professional experience who has developed a strong technical foundation and is ready to assume increasing responsibility for project design, permitting, coordination, client communication, schedules, and project delivery. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of commercial, residential, renewable-energy, infrastructure, and land-development projects throughout Massachusetts and southern New England.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and coordinating civil/site-development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D Site layout and design Grading and earthwork design Drainage and stormwater-management design Utility design and coordination Roadway and access design Engineering calculations and technical reports Local, state, and other permitting support Coordination with municipal officials and regulatory agencies Coordination with surveyors, architects, environmental consultants, contractors, and clients Construction-phase engineering and site observations Managing engineering assignments, schedules, and deliverables Increasing responsibility for client communication and project management Assisting senior project managers with project budgets, proposals, schedules, and project delivery
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum five years of relevant professional civil engineering experience EIT/FE certification Professional experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Site/civil or land-development engineering experience Experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management Strong technical-writing and communication skills Ability to independently manage engineering assignments and multiple deadlines Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering, surveying, environmental, architectural, and construction professionals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Massachusetts land-development experience Massachusetts municipal/state permitting experience HydroCAD or similar stormwater-analysis experience Client-facing experience Proposal preparation or project-scoping experience Active progress toward PE licensure
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, technical qualifications, project-management capability, and other relevant qualifications.
