SUPERVISORY ENGINEER/ SCIENTIST or MANAGER

Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Engineer/Scientist or Manager in the Ocean and Physical Sciences Branch (C7543) of
NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.
Salary:
ND-4: $101,375-156,715; ND-5: $142,452-197,200 This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15 and the ND-4 encompasses GS-12 and GS-13.
Qualifications:
FOR THE ND 05
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following as a professional engineer or scientist; experience leading personnel and the resourcing and execution of research and development projects, systems development efforts, and technology implementation for the Ocean and Physical Science portfolio that provides technical support, modeling and simulation and strategic recommendations in support of the divisions technical, marine species protection and environmental initiatives.
FOR THE ND 04
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following as a professional engineer or scientist; supporting projects, conducting research and development and leading small teams related to the Ocean and Physical Science portfolio that provides technical support, modeling and simulation and strategic recommendations in support of the divisions technical, marine species protection and environmental initiatives. This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a Biologist (0401-series), General Engineer (0801-series), an Oceanographer (1360-series), or a Computer Scientist (1550-series) based upon the qualifications of the candidate.
