Job Description

Modern Forge Tennessee is looking for an energetic, growth-minded Design Engineer to join team. If you have a solid engineering foundation and are looking for a company that willactively invest in your skills through comprehensive on-the-job training , we want to hear from you! As part on the engineering team, you will create detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD software for tooling, fixtures, parts, and other manufacturing related items. You will also create simulations to validate internal designs while simultaneously seeking ways to improve our processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform functions to design new tooling and support process development of manufacturing operations. Assists with process control and troubleshooting. Establishes effective working relationships with multiple departments to maximize project management success. Participates on cross functional teams for the advancement and review of projects (new and existing). Develops and maintains process documentation to maintain accurate documentation at all times. Provides technical support and problem solving for production and facility problems. Work with quality and operations personnel to ensure ISO compliance. Must be willing to be hands-on and work closely with all levels of the organization. Maintain and support the ERP system. Participate in customer problem solving resolutions. Participate in training or training of others in the Engineering Department Any other duties or projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, & Outlook) Working knowledge of CAD software Good written and oral communication skills required. Maintain safe and orderly working area, follow all Safety, Environmental & Quality policies. Be a team Player
PREFERRED SKILLS
Relevant working experience in tool design or related field a plus Lean manufacturing experience Hands on experience in manufacturing setting a plus Experience with Pro E / Creo Software a plus Experience in an ISO audited manufacturing company Experience with forging and tool design a plus Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Full-time Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
