Easton, Pennsylvania job type: Permanent salary: $130,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Drive the creation and commercial rollout of high-performance components from initial concept ideation through full-scale manufacturing, delivering robust material solutions across proprietary product linesFormulate, test, and refine elastomeric compounds (e.g., fluoroelastomers, NBR, EPDM) alongside engineered thermoplastics, surface coatings, and metallic alloys to meet demanding application specificationsExecute and interpret comprehensive material characterizations using techniques such as mechanical testing, thermal profiling (DSC, TGA, DMA), spectroscopy (FTIR), and rheological assessments (cure rheometry, Mooney viscosity)Oversee curing agent selection, filler integration, and active troubleshooting of elastomeric molding operations (injection, compression, transfer) to eliminate compound defects and stabilize production runsCollaborates closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate complex material capabilities into actionable project milestones and marketing specifications Requirements 2+ years of direct experience in custom rubber compounding and elastomeric material design.
