job summary: A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Materials Engineer - Rubber & Elastomers to join their dynamic team in Allentown, PA! In this role, you will serve as the premier technical authority on cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) teams, guiding projects from conception to launch. Operating out of an elite design division, you will lead hands-on compound formulation, drive critical polymer testing, and spearhead advanced failure analysis investigations to ensure product excellence. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Easton, Pennsylvania job type: Permanent salary: $130,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Serve as the sole Materials Expert on individual, cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) project teams alongside Project Managers, Quality Engineers, and Marketing personnel.

Provide technical leadership and expertise on materials, guiding the project team through component selection, formulation, and application challenges.

Manage and execute critical material testing and comprehensive failure analysis on polymers to ensure product reliability and performance..Oversees and refines rubber and elastomer compound formulation and processing methods throughout the product development lifecycle.

Collaborates closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate complex material capabilities into actionable project milestones and marketing specifications. Requirements 2+ years of hands-on experience in rubber and elastomer compound formulation and processing.

Requires 5+ years of combined experience executing material testing and comprehensive failure analysis on polymers.

Hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Polymer Engineering.
