Job Description

Mechanical Engineering Job Description Adjuvo Technologies is looking for an energetic mechanical engineer that is eager to become part of a growing business in the training and simulation industry. The position will primarily entail mechanical design and reverse engineering of tactical equipment to be used in training systems for Military and Commercial customers. The role may have some wiring and light electrical design duties. Individual must be willing to contribute to overall company success and at times be willing to support other duties outside of the engineering role. Mechanical Engineer Job Duties Develops and evaluates design requirements, based on customer and program requirements Evaluates the mechanical and electrical system requirements and develops product designs around these requirements. Assures product quality, through sound application of engineering principles of material selection, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing assembly capabilities Work with quality and manufacturing to help aid in the development and new manufacturing capabilities and approaches. Develop full documentation packages for design products to support manufacturing and customer integration support Work with subcontractors to support manufacturing efforts and manufacturing process selection Ability and willingness to support manufacturing with light assembly and manufacturing tasks Mechanical Engineer Skills and Qualifications Must be fully capable in Solid Works 2022 or newer to develop mechanical designs and documentation Must be knowledgeable in ANSI drawing standards and requirements Should have at least 1 year in Mechanical and related engineering degree or equivalent of 5 years professional mechanical design experience. Ability to understand how design impacts manufacturing costs and product quality Should be able to work independently and with a team of engineers and comfortable in making design decisions without specific direction Is comfortable working in a fast pace, startup environment Has hands on experience in assembly and fabrication processes Knows and understands a broad array of materials and manufacturing processes
