Becker is currently seeking an "entry level engineer" to join our Research & Development team. The successful candidate will collaboratively engage with the engineering team, machinists, technicians and production staff to help develop, test, and document the company's next generation of products. This is an entry-level engineering position for someone who wants breadth in their daily work, challenging assignments and collaboration that builds engineering skills in a vocation that can help improve people's lives. What you'll do Set up and run mechanical tests under written protocols, analyze the data and draft test reports Build, maintain and calibrate test fixtures and electro-mechanical test equipment Create CAD models and drawings (Fusion 360 / AutoCAD LT) and build prototypes with our R D machinist Maintain design history documentation under

requirements, design reviews, verification and validation records Draft work instructions and inspection plans with our manufacturing engineering team for design transfer to manufacturing Help investigate field failures, including recreating them in the lab Support clinical evaluations with orthotists and patients What you bring A.A.S. or B.S. in Mechanical, Biomedical or Manufacturing Engineering (0-2 years of experience) Hands-on experience building and testing physical designs, through co-ops, shop work, capstone or personal projects Working CAD skills (Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar) and basic GD&T Careful data analysis and clear technical writing Willingness to learn medical device design controls and Lean manufacturing practices Preferred Co-op or internship in medical device, orthopedic or manufacturing settings Exposure to product design using Minimum Viable Product (MVP) design approach, Design for Manufacture (DFM), design FMEA (DFMEA) or quality systems Machining and hand tool experience Interest in biomechanics, gait or orthotics Becker is an equal opportunity, at will employer.
