2988257812-2 Apply for this job now Job Description As a Principal Engineer at Rolls Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood, you will lead the design and industrialization of advanced systems for ultra luxury vehicles. You'll define technical roadmaps, own complex architectures, and ensure manufacturability, quality, and safety across the product lifecycle. Partnering with BMW Group experts and cross functional teams, you'll drive innovation in materials, powertrain, and vehicle integration, apply robust
DFMEA/DFM/DFA
practices, and mentor engineers while fostering a culture of craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement in a world class manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead design and development of complex vehicle systems and components Define and own system architecture, requirements, and technical roadmaps Ensure manufacturability, quality, safety, and compliance for all designs Apply DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and robust engineering standards across programs Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain on industrialization Drive innovation in materials, powertrain, and vehicle integration Review and approve engineering documentation and validation plans Mentor and coach engineers, building technical capability in the team Lead problem solving for critical production and field issues Partner with BMW Group and global stakeholders on platform initiatives Required Skills Mechanical or automotive systems design CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or similar) DFM/DFA and design for quality methods DFMEA and risk analysis Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Systems engineering and requirements management Automotive manufacturing processes Project and program management Data analysis and problem solving (e.g., 8 D, DMAIC)
