Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation solutions within manufacturing environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial automation, robotics, and control systems, driving efficiency and innovation across production processes. As a key member of our engineering team, you will leverage your expertise to optimize machinery performance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure seamless integration of automation technologies. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement automation systems utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and industrial robotic systems such as Fanuc robotics. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems using ladder logic (LD) and other programming languages to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. Configure and optimize human-machine interfaces (HMI), ensuring intuitive operation and effective data visualization for operators. Integrate industrial networks and distributed control systems (DCS) to facilitate seamless communication between machinery components. Conduct root cause analysis on automation equipment failures, performing detailed troubleshooting and repairs on PLCs, robotic systems, sensors, vision inspection systems, and industrial electrical systems. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to interpret schematics, blueprints (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and electrical diagrams for system installation or upgrades. Perform system validation, calibration, and documentation in compliance with industry standards to ensure quality assurance. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on automation or robotics. Extensive knowledge of robotics systems along with hands-on experience in robot programming and troubleshooting. Strong background in industrial controls including PLC programming (ladder logic), PLC troubleshooting, industrial electrical systems, schematics reading/interpreting, and industrial equipment troubleshooting. Proficiency in configuring HMI systems for operator interfaces; experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks for system setup or modifications. Familiarity with vision inspection systems and industrial control components used in automated manufacturing environments. Excellent problem-solving skills paired with strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
