If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are working with companies in Portage that are adding Cost Accountants to their teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs. Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and report on root causes. Prepare detailed cost forecasts and budgets for production. Conduct make-or-buy analyses and provide cost data for strategic decisions. Support inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory to the general ledger. Identify cost reduction opportunities and track their implementation. Assist in the development of new product costing and pricing. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a plus.
