Job Description

Senior Cost Accountant responsible for cost accounting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, manufacturing cost reporting, and month-end financial activities within a manufacturing environment. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of accounting experience in cost accounting or general ledger functions within a manufacturing environment. Experience with standard costing. Experience with inventory valuation. Experience performing material, labor, and overhead variance analysis. Knowledge of
U.S. GAAP.
Experience with ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with month-end close and journal entry preparation. Experience reconciling inventory subledger activity to the General Ledger. Preferred Skills Experience with Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms. Experience with annual standard cost rolls and periodic cost updates. Experience with manufacturing budgeting and forecasting. Experience with physical inventory and cycle count programs. Experience analyzing scrap, rework, yield, and inventory aging. Experience supporting internal and external audits. Experience developing manufacturing cost KPIs and performance reporting. Experience supporting quoting activities with cost analysis. Job Responsibilities Maintain and update standard material, labor, and overhead costs in the ERP system. Lead annual standard cost roll activities and periodic cost updates. Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances. Monitor scrap, rework, and yield impacts on product cost. Support quoting activities through product cost analysis. Maintain accurate inventory valuation under standard costing. Reconcile inventory subledger balances to the General Ledger. Lead physical inventory counts and cycle count activities. Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving inventory, and obsolete stock. Review and validate scrap, DMR, and rework transactions. Analyze manufacturing cost drivers across production and supply chain activities. Track OEE and scrap rate impacts on cost performance. Prepare monthly manufacturing cost reports and KPIs. Support manufacturing cost budgeting and forecasting. Perform month-end cost accounting close procedures. Prepare cost-related journal entries. Analyze inventory reserves and recommend adjustments. Support internal and external audit requirements.
