We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support a growing consumer products business on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can work independently, collaborate closely with external accounting partners, and bring structure to day-to-day financial operations. Based in Bend, Oregon, this position will contribute across core accounting functions while helping maintain accurate records and efficient processes in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Partner with the internal bookkeeper and external accounting firm to keep financial information accurate, timely, and well coordinated.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support the monthly close process.
• Oversee receivables activity, including tracking deductions and resolving customer chargebacks.
• Process invoices and payments while helping establish effective workflows within Bill.com or comparable software.
• Handle payroll administration for a small employee population with accuracy and consistency.
• Support sales tax tracking, reporting, and compliance requirements across applicable jurisdictions.
• Assist with setting up and refining accounting procedures and system-related workflows as business needs evolve.
